AGIRE is an Italian innovation company and academic spin-off of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, specialising in agroecology, sustainable agriculture and environmental innovation. AGIRE works closely with farmers, researchers and industry to translate scientific research into practical solutions that improve the sustainability, resilience and competitiveness of agricultural systems.
AGIRE leads the project's System Validation, Evaluation and Scaling, ensuring that the TRACER MRV System is practical, reliable and ready for large-scale implementation. This work evaluates the system's usability, accuracy, scalability and cost-effectiveness while incorporating feedback from farmers, advisors and other stakeholders to support its long-term adoption.
In addition, AGIRE co-leads the Agroecological Systems Pilot (Italy) alongside SSSA, which focuses on Mediterranean agroecological farming systems. The pilot will test and calibrate the TRACER MRV System by evaluating greenhouse gas emissions from agroecological management practices, supporting the validation of sustainable farming approaches under Mediterranean conditions.
