UNIBZ is a leading Italian university recognised for its interdisciplinary research in sustainable agriculture, mountain farming systems, environmental science and digital innovation. Through close collaboration with farmers, industry and public authorities, the University develops practical solutions that support resilient agricultural systems and climate-smart farming across diverse European landscapes.
UNIBZ leads the project's On-Farm Implementation and Demonstration, coordinating the operational deployment of the TRACER MRV System in commercial farms. This work integrates the project's monitoring protocols, models and digital platform into a fully operational system, enabling real-time data collection and reporting while demonstrating its practical application under real farming conditions.
In addition, UNIBZ leads the Mountain Dairy Systems Pilot (Italy), which focuses on Alpine dairy farming systems. The pilot will test and calibrate the TRACER MRV System by evaluating greenhouse gas emissions from low- and high-input dairy production systems, supporting the validation of sustainable mitigation strategies for mountain agriculture.
